TECH CORPS Texas programs are designed to impact the quality of technology education offerings for studentst and to help ensure the availability of computers in schools, community-based organizations, and for individuals in need. The Student TECH CORPS program that trains and certifies middle and high school students in multiple aspects of technology, including computer hardware, software, networks, peripherals, the internet, and professionalism, then harnesses their knowledge to power a Student-Run Help Desk that allows students to provide valuable technical support in their own schools through supervised service learning activities.
TECHie Club an exciting program designed to introduce elementary students to technology and all its possibilities. The program includes hands-on, interactive activities tied directly to national technology standards for the 3rd-5th grades and focused on the fundamentals of Computer Programming, Robotics, Informatics and Digital Media.
The Computers For Kids program that provides high quality, donated computers to schools that meet or exceed district technology standards, come with a 90 day break/fix warranty; and are delivered direct to your campus for a nominal refurbishing fee that helps to offset the programs cost. (This program may not be available in all districts, and supplies are limited)
The Community Help Desk program engages students in an intensive curriculum that prepares them to succeed in the global workforce through technology education coursework, supervised service learning activities, and educational pathways and career exploration. The Community Help Desk is currently offered as a summer program only.
